frontpage-client, Navigation bars now showing up after Publishing to HD
I need to download my website to my hard drive and have used the Publish
feature to try and get all of the nav bars included. Unfortunately, it
doesn't seem to work. Instead, I get a message that says "Edit the
properties for this Navigation Bar to display hyperlinks here" in the exact
location of where my images (Nav Bar) appears. Any advice would be
appreciated...

Did you Publish and choose 'Publish all pages'?

Yes, I included all pages and the sub files when I published to my HD. I
don't know what else to do...

When the site was first put on the remote server, were the FP extensions installed at the time, and
the site published to the server via FP's http mode, and you are currently opening the site directly
in FP, and then using File Menu | Publish Web / Site to get it onto your HD?
And if you are currently using FP2003, Make sure that you have Navigation and Shared Borders enabled
for the site under Tools | Page Options | Authoring

The FP extensions were not installed originally and were enabled just a few
days ago (to try and help me solve this). Maybe that's the problem.
Otherwise, I'm doing exactly what you outlined in the message.

Ok, since you just had the FP extensions installed, there is no FP site configuration info available
in the web for you to publish back to your machine, since the extensions were not available at the
time the site was original published.
You have to rebuild your navigation structure, re-apply themes, etc. then you will need to do a
full/complete publish overwriting all files on the server the first time you re-publish.

I feel like it's "user error" at this point so I just tried a copy and paste
approach to my navigational images/links and it worked! I'm now back on
track and I appreciate the help. Now that I've found this group, I will be
coming back again to learn much more (and hopefully not do stuff like this in
the future).
